Are you a leader with a heart for people, the church, and organizational structure, looking to work in an organization that inspires hope for the future?
Immanuelskyrkan in Stockholm is now seeking an Church Operations Manager to work closely with the Senior Pastor to lead and develop the church’s operations. The congregation includes three different language groups/worship communities and hosts a rich variety of activities that gather thousands of visitors each week.
About the Position
As Church Operations Manager at Immanuelskyrkan, you will be responsible for implementing decisions made at the strategic level, coordinating and structuring the operational activities to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently. Your tasks will include following up on decisions and ensuring, for example, that the operational plan is effectively integrated into the church’s activities. Identifying areas for improvement and driving change initiatives will be equally important aspects of your role.
You will work closely with and share responsibility with the Senior Pastor and Administrative Director for approximately 45 staff members employed by Immanuelskyrkan. You will oversee specific budgets and be part of the church’s leadership team. Acting as a sounding board, you will ensure that the Senior Pastor can focus on leading and developing the church’s work.
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for a courageous and curious leader who is also humble, passionate about people, and skilled in maintaining order and structure. You enjoy building relationships and motivating people while being clear and decisive.
You see opportunities rather than obstacles and are a problem-solver who continuously strives for improvement and innovation, always working in collaboration with the Senior Pastor, who will be your supervisor.
Your Christian faith is important to you, and you can support Immanuel Churches vision and values. A background as a pastor or deacon is considered a plus.
You have managerial experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector. As an experienced leader, you know how to motivate people, build teams, and lead projects. You are proficient in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
What We Offer
We offer a varied and meaningful role. You will encounter a dynamic organization with many exciting challenges and become part of a collegial community. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside many dedicated volunteers.
This is a full-time permanent position, beginning with a probationary period. Working hours are primarily during office hours, but evening and weekend work will also be required. For all our recruitments, we conduct a background check on the final candidate before offering employment.
