About Immanuel Church

We are a Christian congregation in downtown Stockholm and part of the Uniting Church in Sweden. On Sundays, we gather for worship in four different services and three different languages: English, Korean and Swedish. Throughout the week, the church is filled with small group gatherings and events.

Partnerships

Immanuel Church cooperates with local organizations such as Ny Gemenskap to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in our city.

Through the international work of our denomination and via our sister churches in Congo-Kinshasa and India, we also support diaconal care in other parts of the world.

Supporting one another is part of our mission as a church.

A part of the Uniting Church of Sweden

Immanuel Church is part of the Uniting Church in Sweden. This denomination was formed in 2011 when the Mission Covenant Church of Sweden, the Baptist Union of Sweden and the United Methodist Church of Sweden joined together. The vision of Uniting Church in Sweden is to be
“a church for all walks of life, where the encounter with Jesus Christ transforms me, you and the world”.

The denomination works in the areas of education, creative expression, diaconal care, migration and diversity, human rights and sustainability. Uniting Church in Sweden is part of the world-wide church and a member of i.a. the World Council of Churches.
