Membership

Joining a congregation is to be a part of the body of Christ in the world, the church.

The congregation’s constitution reads:

“The congregation invites as member everyone who wants to confess Jesus Christ as lord and saviour. … The membership is an expression of the will to be a part of Jesus Christ and share the congregation’s responsibility.”

If you want to be a member of the Immanuel Church, please contact our Senior Pastor, Carin Dernulf and schedule a conversation. There you will be asked to talk about yourself, your belief, baptism, what you need and what you want to contribute.

In our denomination, the Uniting Church of Sweden, there is no membership fee. Your gifts however are needed. The Church Fee is also voluntary. You can apply for it on the Uniting Church of Sweden’s website (in Swedish).
