Immanuel Big Band

Immanuel Big Band (IBB) is a big band, consisting of both amateur and professional musicians, which was started by the flutist and saxophonist Lina Lövstrand in 2005.

Immanuel Big Band’s repertoire ranges from modern big band music specially composed for the band to the classic big band arrangements. Immanuel Big Band usually carries out one or two concert projects per term, with challenging repertoire, often newly written songs for modern big band.

Over the years, the band has collaborated with artists such as Peter Asplund, Rigmor
Gustafsson, Sharon Dyall, Margareta Bengtson, Andreas Johnson, Karl-Martin
Almqvist, Mattias Jarheden, Vincent Herring (US) and many more.

The band has 17 regular members and the musical director is currently Johannes Jareteg.
