Extra cold nights
Stockholm may be beautiful in the winter, but when the cold comes, no one wants to be homeless.
When the temperature drops below -7 degrees Celsius, i.e. when it is “Extra cold nights” then we, the Swedish Church, and many other churches in the city offer warm places to sleep.
Currently, the project “Vinternatt” is conducted as an idea-based public partnership (IOP) in collaboration with the City of Stockholm, the City Mission, the Salvation Army and Convictus. The project is aimed at EU citizens and third-country nationals with a residence permit in the EU.
For up-to-date information on where sleeping places for the night are offered, go to Ny Gemenskaps Facebook page.
On Ny Gemenskaps website you can read more about the initiative Projekt Vinternatt.
