Then you might be the youth leader we are looking for this summer.
About the Role
We are looking for a Youth Leader for Wednesday evenings during the summer. We usually meet at the church in central Stockholm, or have a picnic nearby depending on the weather and the plans for the evening.
Working hours are Wednesdays approximately 16:00–22:00. This is an hourly position and only one evening per week, which makes it easy to combine with studies or another job. We want to find a youth leader for all Wednesdays, all the summer.
You will work together with the pastor or deacon on duty during the different summer weeks.
The position may be shared between two people. The most important thing is that one of you is present each Wednesday. You are welcome to apply together with a friend.
Who Are You?
- You must be at least 18 years old before the summer begins
- You speak Swedish and English
- You are confident in your Christian faith
- You don’t need to have all the answers, but you are open to conversations about faith and life
- Experience working with children or youth, either professionally or as a volunteer, is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
You will have main responsibility for the activity, including both planning and leading the evening program. You will also be responsible for managing costs and ensuring activities stay within budget.
Examples of activities include:
- excursions
- hanging out at church
- barbecue evenings
- creative activities
- a short devotional
- You will also be responsible for opening and closing the church facilities and for providing information to participants.
