Possibilities

We have about 15 teachers, all with a degree in music education, who teach with us. The students are given many opportunities to express their musicality, including end-of-term performances, chamber music concerts, and participation in the services at Immanuel Church.

Instrument

At Immanuel Church’s music school, you can learn to play many different instruments. There are opportunities for both group and individual lessons. We offer instruction in the following instruments:

  • Piano
  • Flute
  • Violin, viola, cello
  • Guitar, electric or acoustic
  • Bass
  • Trumpet
  • Singing

Theory A (Preparatory course for the entrance test to music profile classes in grade 4)

Do you have a child who dreams of joining a music profile class in grade 4? Immanuel Music School offers a tailored course specifically designed for children planning to apply for a profile class, aimed at giving them the tools and knowledge they need to pass the entrance tests.

We know how important it is to feel confident and well-prepared before the tests. That’s why we’ve created a 6-session course!

Course content:

  • Basic ear training.
  • Rhythms and melodies.
  • We sing songs that often appear on the tests, such as “Nu tändas”, “Blinka lilla”, and “Du ska inte tro det blir sommar” in different keys.

Practical information:

  • Location: The Mind Hall at Immanuel Church.
  • Format: Group lessons.
  • Parents/guardians: Wait outside during class time.
  • Guarantee: The course does not guarantee admission to the desired school but provides tools to make the entrance test easier.
  • Maximum number of participants: 8–10.
  • Cost: 400 SEK for 6 sessions.
  • Schedule: Tuesdays, 18:00–18:45.
  • Last day to register: October 24.

Course dates:

December 9, November 4, November 11, November 18, November 25, and December 2

Theory B (Preparatory course for the written entrance test for grades 5–9)

This course is primarily a preparation for the written theory tests for admission to Adolf Fredrik’s Music Classes and other schools that require written theory entrance tests. The course is also suitable for students who already attend Immanuel Music School and wish to improve their knowledge of music theory and sight-reading.
