Join us for a captivating organ concert featuring Hans Fagius, one of Sweden’s most renowned concert organists, as he performs works by F. Liszt, J. Agrell, E. Hovland, L. Vierne, and J.S. Bach. Fagius, who has played concerts worldwide, is especially known for his recordings of J.S. Bach’s complete organ works and has also published a handbook on Bach’s organ music. Don’t miss this unique musical experience!

“The Organ as an Instrument in the Church” with professor Mattias Lundberg

Sunday, September 29th at 4:00 PM
Join us for an engaging discussion about the role of the organ in church worship, featuring Professor Mattias Lundberg, Professor and Organist Hans Fagius, and Organist Björn Gäfvert. The discussion will cover both historical and musical aspects of the organ in the church. During the event, Hans Fagius and Björn Gäfvert will also perform music for two organs.

Mattias Lundberg is a Professor of Musicology at Uppsala University, known for his educational radio and TV programs. With a Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool and extensive research on Nordic medieval music and music from the 16th and 17th centuries, Lundberg is one of Sweden’s leading musicologists. He is also involved in several academic and church-related positions.
