Immanuel Church is located in central Stockholm. Here, people of all ages, from many parts of the world and various life situations gather. Every week, numerous different kinds of meetings are held and every Sunday we celebrate services in three languages: Swedish, English, and Korean.
About the Job
We want to make significant strides forward in our communication. Currently, our communications department consists of one employee, and we want to expand.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for Immanuel Church’s social media communication. We are looking for someone who can both manage the parts of our communication that are working well today and who can also think innovatively and develop our profile. Someone who dares to try and fail, learn from the experience and improve each time.
About You
- You have a Christian faith and need to feel comfortable with Immanuel Church’s way of being a church. Visit us on our website and social media, where you’ll find plenty of information about us. (Feel free to note any changes you want to make so you have a to-do list ready when you start!)
- You are good with text and images. You can write clear sentences without subordinate clauses.
- But you can also write more complex texts, with longer sentences and subordinate clauses, while remaining aware of the reader’s context. We have many different target groups in our work and many different kinds of media.
- You can photograph, film, edit, and handle sound and lighting so well that you could do it in your sleep.
- You have the ability to build good relationships. You are service-minded.
- You need to have a talent and interest in working with all types of task in a communications department. You will need to cover for your colleagues when they are off.
- You are used to working in both Swedish and English.
- Training and supporting volunteers, elected representatives, and colleagues in the congregation who want to help create content is a prioritized task. You will need them. No one can cover all the events happening alone.
- Working hours are mainly office hours, but sometimes you are required to work in the evening and at the weekend. Currently, there is the possibility of working from home 1-2 days a week.
About the Workplace
We are just over 40 employees working in excellent premises with good technical equipment. The church is located at the intersection of Birger Jarlsgatan/Kungstensgatan. In adition to salary, we provide a national Edenred card which gves savings for food purchases.
