Thursday, October 3rd

  • 19:00 PANEL DISCUSSION: What is the Role of the Church in Future Development Aid?
Long before terms like “aid” or “development cooperation” existed, the Church was there providing healthcare and education, driven by a global calling to help others. Few organisations have sustained their work in the most challenging environments like the Church. How does the Church view its mission today? How do policymakers and other stakeholders see the Church’s role? What will the Church’s role be as aid policy is reformed?

Come and listen to influential leaders and representatives from the Church and civil society. During the evening, there will also be music from Mikael ‘ZIFA’ Eriksson & ZIFA3.

The discussion will be moderated by Mattias Brunander, Secretary General of Diakonia.

Friday, October 4th

  • 19:00 Hope for Peace

A Tree Has Fallen is a film by journalist and documentary filmmaker Marika Griehsel, about South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, his struggle for peace and reconciliation, which earned him the Peace Prize and worldwide recognition.

Immanuel Gospel will perform, setting the tone for the evening with their exceptional style. Always engaging. Always inspiring.
