Theme: “Another Way”
This Sunday we celebrate the Epiphany, God incarnate in the baby Jesus. When the author of Matthew tells the story of the wise men and their encounter with Jesus, he ends with this sentence: “The magi left for their own country by another way”. We come from a year and a time marked by many dead ends, both globally and locally. What can we learn from this, as we leave Christmas – our own encounter with the Child – and go back to our everyday lives? What does it mean to return by another way?
