Long before terms like “aid” or “development cooperation” existed, the Church was there providing healthcare and education, driven by a global calling to help others. Few organisations have sustained their work in the most challenging environments like the Church. How does the Church view its mission today? How do policymakers and other stakeholders see the Church’s role? What will the Church’s role be as aid policy is reformed?
