Diaconal focus Weeks – a lecture on Prophetic Diakonia

The Church has played a key role in Sweden’s democratic history, yet today its voice is sometimes perceived as provocative. Anna Ardin, political scientist and deacon, offers a theological and social reflection on the Church’s calling to bear witness and the political dimension of diaconal work. Drawing on her research in social science/civil society, she reflects on the experiences of the Free Church movement where the struggle for religious freedom and human dignity has been both questioned and celebrated.

The lecture is organized in collaboration with Immanuel Senior. It begins at 1:00 p.m. in Waldenström Hall, followed by coffee in the Church Square. All are welcome!
