She is a singing teacher and choir director, plays the piano and a little accordion. She now lives with her family in Bromma and currently works part-time at the Uniting Church in Sweden with responsibility for music and creative expression. In addition to that position, she works as a music teacher at Kulturama.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preliminarily, she will take over as principal of the Immanuel Music School on 1 May 2025. What did you do before you came here?<br><\/strong>For the past few years, I have been balancing my studies to become a deacon with work, gaining invaluable experiences along the way. My most recent position was at Kryckan, a meeting place for individuals facing vulnerable situations. Kryckan is operated by the Church of Sweden in Haninge and is located in the former church building of the Mission Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>2. What do you do when you\u2019re not working?<\/strong><\/strong><br>One of my favorite things about having time off or having no schedule is enjoying a \u2018slow morning.\u2019 Aside from that, I make time for exercise, rest, and spending time with my family. At home, there\u2019s always a knitting project or some other craft to keep me busy. Recently, I\u2019ve also decided to add a new, time-consuming activity to my free time: this season, I\u2019m working on getting my golf green card!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>3. What\u2019s the bravest thing you\u2019ve ever done?<\/strong><\/strong><br>I wouldn\u2019t call myself a risk-taker, but there have definitely been moments when I\u2019ve had to summon a lot of courage. Just being human takes bravery, especially when life comes at you fast. Looking back, one of my bravest decisions was applying to study in London and moving there at 27 to pursue higher university education. But what do we do when we feel powerless? How does the power dynamic actually work in Swedish politics? How much can power-hungry men control before society steps in to stop it? What is the true definition of power? He will speak about power from a theological perspective. Historically, the church has held significant power in society, but what power does it have today? And what power does God truly have over what happens in the world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">Community:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The role of a leader is a natural part of power dynamics. But what emotions do different types of leaders evoke in us, and what can we learn from those who have been effective as well as those who have not? Afterwards, there will be church coffee in the Church Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">During church coffee, you can collect your voting card and ballot. They will be available in Paus, one floor down. Please do so early to avoid queues. Remember, you must collect them in person, and it is not allowed to collect them on behalf of someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kl 13.00 starts the annual meeting in Congressen. <\/strong><br>Your presence at the annual meeting is important, so come and be a part of it! The committee immediately began working to find a successor. They prioritized finding someone who is already on the board and well acquainted with the work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE<\/summary>\n<p>Peter Dobers is a member of the current board who has served the longest and has extensive knowledge of the congregation&#8217;s various areas of activity. The election committee invited him for a discussion. Shortly thereafter, we agreed to approach him. We are pleased that he has expressed his willingness to stand as a candidate for the chairmanship of the congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter Dobers became a member of Immanuel Church in 1999 and has held various positions within the congregation in different areas. For the past ten years, he has been a member of the congregation&#8217;s board. He is well acquainted with the congregation&#8217;s work in its full scope, as well as with its language groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter Dobers has been a professor of business administration at S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University for the past ten years, specializing in sustainability. Previously, he held a similar professorship at M\u00e4lardalen University. At both of these universities, he was entrusted with the responsible academic leadership role as dean and led the work of the faculty board. In addition, he has extensive experience in board work. I remember when I was a child, whenever I had a stomach ache, my mother would sing this short lyric while rubbing my stomach. Then, like magic, the pain would disappear. Was there some medical efficacy in my mother\u2019s hands? Of course not. The only thing in those hands was the love of a mother wishing for her child to get better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>READ MORE<\/summary>\n<p>Many miracles happen in the world, but among them, the one that undoubtedly captures our hearts and minds is the \u201cmiracle of healing.\u201d We cannot fully explain this miracle with our words, as it is entirely due to the grace of God, the giver of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we observe Lent, I reflect deeply on the ministry of Jesus, especially His healing ministry. I think about how, in the midst of the oppression of the Roman Empire, Jesus did not ignore the cries of the most vulnerable\u2014those suffering from poverty and illness. He touched them and healed them. Jesus offered healing to those who were marginalized because of illness and had no hope, providing treatment without charge or discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, there is still much suffering in the world. People are crying out for Christ\u2019s healing, whether it be physical pain, mental anguish, or the pain of broken relationships. I hope for healing miracles for all who suffer. However, that may not always happen, and we cannot fully explain why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The famous Japanese author <strong>Ayako Miura<\/strong>, who wrote the novel <strong><em>The Freezing Point<\/em>,<\/strong> suffered from tuberculosis throughout her life and later battled cancer and Parkinson\u2019s disease. Before she died, she left this message:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cGod, what You do is always right, because You love me more than I love myself and You know me better than I know myself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we can be certain of is that God loves us more than anyone else and knows us better than anyone else. Even in the midst of unhealed pain, God\u2019s love for us does not cease, and He is healing us in His own way. With this faith, we, as His disciples, must now entrust our lives and healing to Christ and turn our attention to the pain of others: the pain of society, the pain of the community, the pain of the nation, and the pain of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus calls us to be healing hands for our neighbors. In a world where the relentless pursuit of Mammon and the violence of survival of the fittest leave wounds, and where the number of bleeding souls continues to grow, our hands\u2014armed with love, the most powerful weapon\u2014must continue Jesus\u2019 healing ministry.
