Concert Immanuel Nova, Thursday 14th of March at 19.00
The music of Bach embodies both joy and pain, but maybe most of all
security – there is a hope of joy and happiness even in the darkest night.
In this programme Immanuel Nova, together with organ and string quintet,
performs two of Bach’s motets: Ich lasse dich nicht and Jesu meine Freude.
Both of these texts have a character of prayer and they express our longing to be
separated from darkness and from what is wordly, as well as the gratefulness of having someone to rely on.
This night we will also hear one of Mozart´s Church Sonatas, as well as the very rarely performed
Cembalo Concerto in A major by Johan Agrell, who had his roots
in Sweden but spent most of his time in what is now Germany.
The piece is recorded only once, by the cembalo player that is our soloist – Björn Gäfvert.
Immanuel Nova ,Björn Gäfvert, organ and cembalo, Catalina Langborn och Emma Strömberg,
violin Karin Dungel, viola Malin Sandell, cello Olof Larsson, violone,
Rebecka Gustafsson, conductor free entrance!
Warmly welcome!
