Why do people of power so often thrive in the church? – with Helen Västberg

Wednesday 16 November, at 18.30

Welcome to the last of three themed evenings about faith, with lecture, conversation/question time and snacks. During three Wednesday evenings, we immerse ourselves in the different guests’ perspectives on faith and church.
Each evening is completely independent, but a common thread is the question: what is a sustainable and healthy faith for me?

Welcome to a themed evening about faith with Helen Västberg, therapist and author of the book Save us from evil – about power and abuse of power. “Something rubs, but I don’t know what it is. Is it my fault? Why am I shrinking here, and why am I even afraid?” Wherever we try to interact with each other, we realize from time to time how difficult it is to manage power, both in others and in ourselves. How do you ask the right questions to a culture that has become increasingly toxic and where the conflicts replace each other? What does discernment look like when the results are good – but the fruit is bitter? And what responsibility does the collective have when a culture derails? Conversation leader: Esther Kazen.
