We are the Church

Since most people cannot ”go to church”  at the moment, I have started to turn the phrase around. At this time, the church needs to come to us instead. It can be a challenge to meet the church in new shapes, but it also creates new and different possibilities. The church doors being locked does not mean the church is on a pause, because the kingdom of God is within us, we are the church.

God is never far away, but is always close to where we are. When almost nothing is as usual we need to look out for the new needs around us and within ourselves. Together with God we can do what we can to be there for each other, rebuild one another. In the same way we can look out for new possibilities that are slowly growing around us. What can you see that is starting to build up?

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you out with kindness. I will build you again and you will be rebuilt” – Jeremiah 31:3-4
