Jesus says: Verily I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone. But if it dies, it gives a rich harvest. (Jn 12:24)
I will make him who thirsts drink freely from the fountain of the water of life. (Rev 21: 6)
Welcome to Wheat Grain Days on October 22-23 in Immanuel Church in Stockholm. During a day, Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon, we will follow the pattern of the wheat grain in different ways: Let go, fall into the ground, die, rest to then arise, germinate and bear fruit.
During the Wheat Grain Days, we ask ourselves what this pattern means to us today as individuals, as congregations, as a church, as parts of a worldwide Christianity. This year’s Wheat Grain Days will have the subheading “Seeking the Truth”. After a period of pandemic, great uncertainty and a lot of rumors, we need to reflect on what it is to seek the truth. We will do this in various forms during this day in lectures, in devotionals, in worship, in music, in pictures and more. The Wheat Grain Days want to reach all the senses and be a place for reflection and for immersion.
Participating are among many others: Carrie Ballenger, Bitte Bråstad, Petra Carlsson, Sune Fahlgren, Roland Spjuth and Johan von Schreeb.
The Wheat Grain Days will be broadcast live digitally but will also be open to participants. If you want to join the Immanuel Church, sign up at the link below.
